Thus was born the dream of creating a cozy inn, with chalets and suites that would provide a magical experience for our guests.

All so that those who visited us could truly experience an encounter with nature. And from this story a unique name emerged: Barriga da Lua (Moon Belly). But why this name?

It all began in the imagination of children. A mountain that resembled a reclining giant inspired the phrase that began it all: "Look, it's the Moon Belly." The full moon shone behind that mountain, where the sensitive eye saw the belly of a stone giant.

The moon, after all, is one of our most beautiful settings. Admiring it from the inn is a moment of enchantment. And we are enchanted every time we admire the mountain, from wherever we are in the inn.

For over twenty years, Pousada Barriga da Lua has welcomed people from all over the world. People come from near and far to admire this place and enjoy its trails and crystal-clear streams.

We are located over 1,200 meters above sea level, and those who venture out can discover incredible places full of natural beauty. Everything is clean and well-preserved.
